Appalachian Firms to Showcase Products at MINExpo International

September 2016

From September 26 to 28, a delegation of Appalachian businesses will participate in MINExpo International, a major mining and construction trade exposition held every four years to give firms an opportunity to showcase their mining products, services, and technologies and to connect with buyer delegations. This year’s event, in Las Vegas, is expected to attract more than 38,000 mining-industry professionals from more than 100 counties.

ARC is providing funding support for the Appalachian MINExpo delegation through the administration’s POWER Initiative to help stimulate economic growth and opportunity in communities negatively affected by changes in the coal economy. In addition to exhibit space and support, participating firms receive assistance with business matching and appointment scheduling through the U.S. Commercial Service International Buyer Program; access to export training opportunities; and follow-up support to develop international business in targeted markets. Coordination is provided by the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission.
