ARC 2015 Strategic Planning Listening Sessions May 2015

ARC will hold a series of "listening sessions" in Appalachia in May and June 2015 as it develops a new strategic plan to guide the Commission's economic and community development efforts over the next five years. The sessions will be an opportunity for ARC to hear from citizens, local leaders, and representatives of private, public, and nonprofit organizations about the issues and challenges their communities face, as well as opportunities and successes. Please join us at one of the sessions to share your ideas for moving Appalachia forward!

There is no cost to attend the listening sessions, but registration is required. Each session will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Listening sessions will be held at these locations:

• Forest City, North Carolina: Friday, May 15
  Carolina Event and Conference Center, 374 Hudlow Road


• Starkville, Mississippi: Thursday, May 21
  Hunter Henry Center at Mississippi State University, 1 Hunter Henry Boulevard


• Morehead, Kentucky: Thursday, June 4
  Morehead Conference Center, 111 East 1st Street


• Altoona, Pennsylvania: Thursday, June 11
  Blair County Convention Center, One Convention Center Drive


• Morgantown, West Virginia: Tuesday, June 16
  Morgantown Event Center, Three Waterfront Place
