On March 23, ARC will co-sponsor the one-day conference "Access to Capital and Credit: Strengthening Rural Businesses" in Lexington, Kentucky.
Conference speakers will include ARC Federal Co-Chair Earl Gohl, USDA Rural Development Deputy Undersecretary Doug O'Brien, and Community Development Financial Institutions Fund Director Donna Gambrell, as well as representatives of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and other organizations.
Participants will hear presentations on topics including
- Developing entrepreneurs and growing new businesses;
- Federal support for business lending;
- CDFI/bank partnerships; and
- the Appalachian Capital Policy Initiative.
