On September 29, 2011, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a short-term continuing resolution that will fund government operations through October 4. The Senate had passed the bill on September 26. The measure funds most agencies, including ARC, at the FY 2011 level, minus a 1.503 percent across-the-board cut. The short-term bill is designed to keep the government functioning until the House can debate and approve a longer-term continuing resolution that will fund the government through November 18. The Senate has already passed the bill, which also funds most agencies at the FY 2011 level, minus a 1.503 percent across-the-board cut.
